Background:

Frands Voss is responsible for Danfoss IP commercialisation but also involved in business development within Danfoss Ventures. With a Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering and a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics as background and with 30 years of work experience in Product Development in the industrial as well as academic sector, Frands has a solid background in most aspects of product innovation from creating new ideas to launching these to the market.
Frands has been working in Danfoss instrumentation during several years and was responsible for global R&D before he was asked to set up a new university institute at University of Southern Denmark, an institute sponsored by Danfoss. Focus area of the Mads Clausen Institute was Product and Business Innovation with focus on mechatronic products, nano- micro and macro. During the 9 years at the university several centres was established and international cooperation was build up, not the least with several universities in China.
